It has excellent public transport into Adelaide by both road and rail. The main interchange for all services being less than 5 minutes walk from the bowling club.

The bowling club is one of the finest venues in Adelaide, boasting 4 Tiff Dwarf Greens, maintained in excellent condition by our Greenkeeper, Greg Daulby. All four greens are floodlit.

The modern Clubhouse is spacious and gives a very attractive outlook over the greens and our well manicured gardens. It provides a full range of facilities to meet the needs of our Members and visitors including bar, kitchen, pool table and darts.  In addition we have ample, secure off-street car parking.

There are a range of social and competition bowls events available throughout the year.

During the summer season Pennant Bowls are played on Thursdays (Ladies) Wednesday (Mens) and Saturday (Open). Social Bowls on Fridays. We have a weekly Melba Competition on Tuesday evenings consisting of Mixed Triples. On Wednesday evenings we have a Night Owls Competition consisting of mixed fours. During the winter season Pennant indoor bias bowls are played for ladies and men on Mondays, Wednesday mixed and Thursday nights (superleague).

Our excellent Clubhouse can seat up to 180 people who can be catered for with a first rate kitchen and bar.

The Club has an active social program throughout the year.

The Clubhouse is a wonderful venue for functions and seminars and is available for hire on non-bowling days and evenings for these events - Please CONTACT US to find out more about availability, event specialisation and pricing.

Club History

The Salisbury Bowling Club was founded at the Orange Avenue, Salisbury site in 1930. Situated on 6.25 acres of land, the Club owns the property freehold. On the site of the Club and its greens is the original Clubroom which housed the members from the Club’s inception in 1930 to 1954. This has been given to the Salisbury Croquet

Club who now use it as their Clubroom.

The second clubroom also still exists and was home to the members from 1954 to 1967. This now accommodates the green keeper and all his equipment.

The current clubroom was built in 1967 and extended to its present size in 1984.
