NIGHT OWLS


This is a special competition run for people who would like to try Lawn Bowls without making any commitment. The only thing that a participant needs to provide is a pair of flat soled shoes, all other equipment is supplied by the club.


A team consists of four people. Make up your own team with family members, friends or workmates or come along on your own and join some new friends in a team put together at the club.


Night Owls is played every Wednesday Evening commencing in October and weather permitting - each *Wednesday until March.
(* Breaks for the festive season)


Play commences at 7.00 pm but the greens are available for an hour before this for anyone who wishes to practice or be coached.

SOCIAL BOWLS


Social bowling is held on several days during the off season and just Fridays during the pennant season.

 

Games start at -
Wednesdays 12:00pm
Fridays 12:00pm
Saturdays
12:30pm


Training is also available Tuesdays 2pm-4pm

 

with registration is 30 minutes prior.

Tuesday nights during the Pennant season is the weekly Melba Competition, a mixed triples tournament starting at 7pm.

 


INDOOR BIAS BOWLS

 

Indoor bias bowls pennants are held for the men's and women's league on Mondays, while a Mixed League is played Wednesday evenings and an in house cosmopolitan super league Thursday evening.


The indoor bowls are played during the winter months starting early May and finishing mid August.


Monday men start at 1.00pm and play 24 ends finishing around 4.30pm.
Monday ladies start at 10.00am and play 21 ends finishing about 12.45pm.
Wednesday mixed start 7.15pm and play 21 ends finishing about 10.30pm.


Thursday SuperLeague consists of 8 teams starting  at 7.30pm and play 14 rounds of 14 ends finishing about 9.00pm. At the end of the competition top 4 and bottom 4 play finals. Entry cost is $3.00 per game and good prize money is on offer.


During the course of the season club championship pairs and singles are played.


Association and state championships are also held during the season.

TOURNAMENTS


There are many tournaments held throughout the year and will be listed on the Upcoming Members and Community Events calendar.

Ranging from celebration days like Australia Day, Melbourne Cup etc to Sponsored events like West End Fours.


 


PENNANTS


Pennant trials are conducted starting 3 weeks prior to the season proper. Memberships and nomination forms need to be concluded in appropriate time frames to be considered eligible.
