Greens & Surroundings

The Salisbury Bowling Club is one of the finest venues in Adelaide, boasting 2 Tiff Dwarf Greens, maintained in excellent condition by our  green keeper. All three greens are floodlit. A third green has been converted into an all-weather synthetic green. The original green was popularly regarded by members and visitors as the best bowling green in South Australia. Ironically, the position of this green was also the most suitable location for the new green and the Committee made the tough decision to replace a first-class grass green with a first-class synthetic green.

This project was a massive undertaking for the Club and represents an investment of more than $1.5m. Boasting not only a first-class bowling surface, the entire green is covered by a magnificent arched roof supporting a PTFE membrane roof and overhead lighting offering uninterrupted views of activities on the green. This project is the first of its kind in South Australia.

The Salisbury Bowling Club Inc. (SBC) is located at Orange Avenue, in the centre of Salisbury. It has excellent public transport into Adelaide by both road and rail. The main interchange for all services being less than 5 minutes’ walk from the bowling club.
