Today the Salisbury Bowling Club management committee held an emergency meeting to discuss the operation of the club in light of the latest developments with the Covid 19 virus and the new social-distancing requirements. The health and well-being of our members are at the heart of our decision to totally close the club until further notice.
So please note that, despite the previous notification, Social Bowls, Bingo and Thursday afternoon bar and roll-ups etc are now cancelled.
The AGM has been postponed for the immediate future and the current committee will continue to operate as required until the AGM is eventually held.
The committee will meet again in 4 weeks time to consider any changes to the situation and you will be advised in due course of any decisions in regards to the AGM and the operation of the club.
Meanwhile, please take care and remember to keep your distance from others, wash your hands and in case you had not considered it, when filling your car up with petrol beware the bowser handle which has been linked to a high number of corona transmissions. Use gloves or paper towel to handle it and wash your hands immediately afterwards.
